Grant only Probate (where estate is not taxable)

Completion of IHT400 and Grant only Probate application 

2% of gross estate, with a minimum charge of £2,500 plus VAT of £500 plus disbursements* or
£300 plus VAT of £60 per hour

At 2% if the gross estate is worth £350,000.00 then the charge would be £7,000 plus VAT of £1,400 plus disbursements*

3% of gross estate with a minimum charge of £3,000 plus VAT of £600 plus disbursements* or £300 plus VAT of £60 per hour

At 3% if the gross estate is worth £350,000.00 then the charge would be £10,500 plus VAT of £2,100 plus disbursements*

£1,500 (£1250 plus VAT at 20%) plus disbursements*

£360 per hour (£300 plus VAT at 20%) plus disbursements*

*Disbursements are expenses paid out by us on your behalf when dealing with a matter

Additional charges – please note that we will charge separately for

  • The legal work involved in dealing with the sale or transfer of any property in the estate

  • Any Deed of Variation required

  • Any contested probate matters or advice on the same

  • £126 (£105 plus VAT at 20%) costs for the use of our Probate software package
